About Me
I am a junior electrical engineering student at Louisiana State University, currently pursuing a minor in computer engineering. As an Asian American student with a strong interest in power systems, I am particularly drawn to power distribution and the operation of synchronous generators. I am also inspired by the work of controls and instrumentation engineers, especially the way they integrate hardware, software, and real-world systems to create reliable and efficient solutions.
Outside of academics, I enjoy staying active at the gym, cooking for my family, and playing video games. However, much of my free time is spent brainstorming and drafting ideas for my next engineering project, where I enjoy applying theory to hands-on design and problem-solving.
Skills and Experience
Intern — Consolidated Electrical Distributors (CED) | Gonzales, LA
June – August 2025
Consolidated Electrical Distributors (CED) is a national distributor of electrical and industrial products serving contractors, utilities, and engineering firms. During my internship, I supported daily warehouse and sales operations by organizing inventory, managing material flow, and assisting with order fulfillment. I also quoted purchase orders, coordinated with vendors to secure pricing, and distributed electrical supplies to customers while building professional relationships with plant personnel and engineering firms.
This role strengthened my understanding of electrical components used in real-world installations, supply chain logistics, and the importance of accurate material selection in engineering projects. The experience connected classroom concepts to industry practice by exposing me to how electrical systems are specified, sourced, and delivered for industrial and commercial applications.

Active member of the Electronics Club and IEEE, collaborating with peers to explore practical electronics concepts and stay engaged with current engineering technologies and industry practices.
Team-Based Projects
Contributed to a team-based informational presentation on augmented and virtual reality, where I collaborated on technical research, system concepts, and clear communication of complex ideas to a non-specialist audience. This experience strengthened my ability to work within a team and translate technical concepts into accessible explanations.
Communication & Knowledge Sharing
Developed strong technical communication skills through collaborative coursework, group problem-solving, and peer discussions. These experiences reinforced the importance of clear documentation, structured presentations, and teamwork in achieving reliable engineering outcomes.
Engineering Impact
Through team projects and student organizations, I have developed the ability to collaborate effectively, communicate technical information clearly, and contribute meaningfully to group engineering skills that directly support successful system design, integration, and validation.
Reflection / Engineering Philosophy
Why Engineering?
My interest in engineering began at a young age through a natural curiosity for design and how systems work. What started as a passion for building and understanding things has grown into a commitment to creating reliable, efficient, and well-designed engineering solutions. I am especially motivated by the challenge of turning abstract concepts into systems that operate predictably in the real world.
What to Expect of Me in The Future
As I continue to grow as an engineer, I aim to deepen my understanding of synchronous generators and power system operation while also strengthening my software proficiency. In particular, I am focused on developing skills in programmable logic controller (PLC) programming and structured software design, recognizing the critical role software plays in modern power and control systems.
Looking ahead, I plan to pursue a career in power engineering, with long-term goals of transitioning into design and controls. I am driven by the opportunity to work at the intersection of electrical power, automation, and system reliability, where thoughtful engineering decisions have a direct and lasting impact.
